Christian Gudegast directs Gerard Butler, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Evin Ahmad in this heist sequel that sees Big Nick back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie, who is embroiled in the treacherous world of diamond thefts.

The first one was one part wild and three parts solid. This one has marinated a while longer and the flavours are starting to become delightfully tangy all the way through. Big Nick and Donnie have an unforced chemistry together. The highlight is an undercover Butler doing some MDMA at a Eurotrash party and letting loose on the dance floor. Actually, the highlight is the heist which is sustained and well executed. If the first one was dumb Heat then this one is looser Ronin.
