Yimou Zhang directs Dahong Ni, Yan Ni, Shenyang Xiao, Honglei Sun in this remake of the Coen Bothers neo-noir debut relocated to pre-revolution China.

An at best colourful remake but the transplanting of all the shots, twists and machinations doesn’t take. The Blood Simple-y doesn’t match. Rejected.
