Henry King directs Gregory Peck, Helen Westcott and Millard Mitchell in this western where an infamous killer cannot find a moment’s solace from those who want revenge or to best him. 

Kind of a reverse High Noon with an entire town set to kill Gregory Peck while he tries to sit out trouble and revisit his past love. Things come to a similarly gripping head and it pokes enthusiastically about into the legends of the Wild West. An entertaining watch.
